Meet our Labradoodles
The bloodlines of our breeding dogs originate with Australia’s Rutland Manor and Tegan Park, co-founders and developers of the Australian Labradoodle Breeding & Research Center for the ASD Australian Labradoodle.
His Acre is committed to following the guidelines and standards established by the Australian Labradoodle Association of America, (ALAA). The ALAA along with its sister association, Australian Labradoodle Association (ALA), united and became known as the International Australian Labradoodle Association (IALA), now the largest International Australian Labradoodle Registry Association in the world. The ALA represents Australia, Europe, Asia and New Zealand while the ALAA represents the United States of America and Canada. “We are focused on nurturing the development of the Australian Labradoodle and Labradoodle, supporting quality breeding practices and promoting uniform standards and integrity in breeding.” (http://www.ilainc.com/ALAAHistory.html).
All our breeding dogs are thoroughly tested prior to breeding for proper confirmation, hips and elbows through The University of Pennsylvania Hip Improvement Program (PennHIP) or the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) in the United States or by the Appropriate Certifying Body in "Country of Origin", eye certification and testing through Optigen for PRA (progressive retinal atrophy) clearance and CERF, DNA profiling, thyroid panel including TgAA, cardiac, etc. Health testing is very important to us and we are using the most up to date and advanced tests available. We breed for quality personality traits and are only breeding the best quality Australian Multigeneration Labradoodle breeding stock.
We do not have kennels. All our dogs are pampered members of our family. The puppies are whelped in our home in a specially designed whelping room where mom and babies are cared for and hovered over 24 hours a day until the pups leave for their new “forever” homes.
Temperament and Soundness are the two KEY elements in a dog,
whether a family companion, a Therapy or Assistance Dog, or a Show Dog.
They must not be sacrificed for any reason.
